It’s another memory foam topper to consider getting. It looks like a 4in to me, but unfortunately this information or the one for the quality of the memory foam is not mentioned in the web site. And it should be mentioned, so before you make a purchase I suggest you request it. Other than that the characteristics of the topper look great – it’s hypoallergenic, it has open cell structure, which solves the heat gathering problem and it comes with a separate velour cover that you can take off and wash. It comes in variety of sizes, but again we suggest you get one size bigger than the size of your bed. Then once the topper returns to its original shape (sometimes this may take more than 2 days) just cut off the excess foam. Here are the features and some other information for it:

• Open cell structure allows more air flow for cooler comfort

• An antimicrobial finish inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria

Sleeping on less breathable foam mattress toppers tends to be too hot. The open cell structure of ours offers greater air flow to keep you more comfortable. The Topper really looks good, but again I would insist on the missing information before making a purchase. With this 4in memory foam topper you’ll get the comfort that you need for a great night sleep. In my opinion 4in is the best size for a topper – you get plenty of memory foam without the need to get an entire mattress. 2.5lbs is also a great density – it’s not too soft, but just enough so it can help with back pains or other problems. This topper is really a great deal – it’s comfortable, easy to clean, has absolutely no odor, it is antimicrobial and once you put it over the mattress it will just stay in place. The price is also great – it costs $140, which for a 4in and 2.5 lbs is really not much. You also get plenty of sizes to choose from. Here are some features and we’ll move on:

Another slightly different topper. This time you get 3 different layers that are said to create the ultimate support and comfort. You get plush memory foam surface, built-in lumbar support and a (harder I assume) base layer. It sounds great, but again the density of the memory foam or the thickness (of each layer or combined) is not given. This is an information worth knowing believe me and I suggest you request it first before you make a purchase. Still I like the topper very much and think you’ll like it too. Here’s all of the given information about it:

The “downsides” are just the same as with the previously reviewed items – the thing will gather heat, it will take some getting used to, it will take a while until it obtains it normal size, it may have a specific smell when you first take it out of the packaging and the size will be smaller than the one of your bed. This one is slightly different from the previous two reviewed, because of the way it’s shaped. Trust me this doesn’t make too much difference – the comfort level is all the same. So what we have here is a 2in memory foam topper and again the density is not mentioned so if you decide to buy it request it first. Now in my opinion 2in is not really enough. Sure it will cushion your bed a little bit and make your sleep better, but if you can spend some more money I suggest you go for at least 3in (4 is best if you ask me). And I suggest density 2.5 or higher for better comfort. Now here are the features and the dimensions of this topper:

Another thing you may not like, beside the thickness, is that it will gather heat. As I’ve already explained this is true for big part of the memory foam toppers and mattresses and is something you eventually get used to. We’ve previously covered a lot of very nice considerably cheap memory foam mattress toppers, but today I’d like to share one that I clearly label my favorite topper. The Sensus memory foam topper most definitely deserves to be labeled premium memory foam topper with its extremely high quality, but not really cheap price.

The best thing about the Sensus memory foam topper is the high quality 5 LB almost pure Visco Elastic Memory Foam material. This is one of the few memory foam toppers and even memory foam mattresses on the market that is solely made only from Visco Elastic memory foam and is not mixed with any other ingredients that lower the quality. Actually this is the main reason why this topper is quite expensive compared to the market average, but its features are times better than all other memory foam combinations.

The Sensus memory topper comes in few variations all in the 5lb premium foam density. The two (2) inch memory foam pad variation is on almost medium market price ($179 for Full size and $209 for Queen size), but if you follow all my topper reviews, you’ll notice that I always suggest that topper with less than 3 inches is not recommended as it does not give you the original memory foam floating feeling that a good size mattress or topper delivers. This makes it almost as regular foam topper and its virtually wasting your money. On the other hand the three (3) inch memory foam topper variation is quite better, but it comes at a bit higher market price - $259 for Full size and $289 for Queen size.... read more..

One of the most cost-effective memory foam toppers on the market is the isotonic memory foam mattress topper/pad. This memory foam topper provides extremely comfortable feel from its 2" 4 lb visco elastic memory foam that can be easily found on the market around $120 for twin size and about $160 for queen size, but it has one downside. Even thou the feeling is great, the mattress pad has quite poor cover and it looks a bit odd with the standard cotton mattress cover that comes with it. The problem is that the topper is light red-brown or dark yellow (see the image above) and the cotton cover does not help it blend too much and your bed looks a bit yellowish. If you don’t care about the looks I’ll definitely confirm that this topper is on one of the cheapest prices I’ve ever seen on the market and it’s a great buy.

It is interesting that some isotonic memory foam mattress pad stores offer their own mattress covers and they differ quite a lot. Some of them are quite well made and you won’t have that yellowish effect, but the one that I sow in most stores was quite thinner than its supposed to be. Actually the standard cover is quite nice in terms of breathability and it will help you decrease your body temperature easily and therefore fall in deep sleep faster (you need to cool down to sleep deeper and that’s why during the summer its so hard to fall asleep). The typical waterproof covers are not breathable and this makes them a bit uncomfortable in terms of sweating and such. In most cases I’d recommend that you stick with the breathable cotton covers instead of waterproof ones. I suggest waterproof covers only when you have the big chances of “accidents” with animals or little kids because memory foam is very hard to wash and requires a lot of efforts so it’s better to be on the safe side.... read more..

There are a lot of memory foam manufacturers and most of them use their own formula and therefore have specific feel on their mattresses/toppers, but today we are going to share with you one of the best memory foam topper manufacturers. Yes that’s Healthy Foundation.

The guys at Healthy Foundations are doing great job manufacturing some of the most cost-effective memory foam toppers on the market. Their toppers are priced around $160 for twin size 2” foam and $195 for the 3” foam (the thicker the better, because you get more of the more of the memory foam feeling). They also sell only the toppers without any covers at quite lower prices, but it’s not really recommended to buy without them, unless you already have a good washable cover.

Their toppers are made of good quality 4 LB memory foam which usually has about 4-5 years life span and after that needs replacement because it softens too much and loses memory foam characteristics. The other very nice thing that makes Healthy Foundation memory foam toppers better than others is that they are cut to fit and cover completely the top of your existing mattress. Note that as a standard, most memory toppers are a bit shorter from all sides (about 2 inches a side) and that makes them look a bit weird. The guys at HF thought that it would be really nice if the topper covers perfectly and actually blends in with your existing mattress and that’s why they spent a bit more foam and made them larger..... read more..

I know I was supposed to list you the best memory foam toppers on the market, but this time I‘ll give you the worst one that I‘ve ever seen. Yes, we are talking about 2.5 inch Costco distributed Novaform Memory Foam Topper. Don‘t get me wrong, most of the Novaform Products are great and extremely high quality (I‘ll write later on in the mattress reviews for the Novaform Elite Memory Mattress which is one of the best I‘ve ever seen), but specifically for the 2.5 inch foam topper currently promoted by Costco is very very bad.

The Novaform Topper is made of extremely high quality Visco Elastic Memory Foam (which is very good), but the 2.5 inc version is very buggy and in about 30% of all packages shows fabric/manufacturing problems mostly related to deflation problems. Most memory foam mattresses are shipped in vacumed condition (they shrink extremely much when vacuumed) and when you open them they deflate and expand to their normal size. The thing about this particular topper is that in many cases it does not deflate properly on the edges and somehow looks weird. If you don‘t care about the looks (because when you put it in the velour cover you don‘t actually see that problems, its not that bad and it‘s actually quite nice for $90-$150 USD price..... read more..
