Memory Foam Mattress

This topper is no different from all the other 2in memory foam toppers out there. It’s comfortable, it helps your sleep and somewhat relieves body pain, but you already know my opinion for 2in or less thick memory foam topper – they’re just not that good. What surprises me here is the price of the different topper sizes – they are extremely expensive and I see no reason for that. Here are the prices as given – Twin for $249.99, Full for $319.99, Queen for $319.99 and King for $399.99. Unless this is the first offer you see you’ll agree that the prices far surpass the ones of similar products. I can’t recommend this topper to anyone, not because it’s poorer quality than the others, but because of the price it comes at. For prices like that you can easily get a complete mattress, what’s left for a better topper. I’ll give you the characteristics just in case, but don’t waste your money on this product. If you insist on zoned mattress topper here’s what I consider a slightly better deal for you than the previous one mentioned. This is a 7-zone 2in thick mattress topper. Zoned mattress toppers are slightly better than the normal flat ones mainly because they don’t capture heat as much, but in the end it’s all about the thickness and the density of the memory foam. Sure 2in are better than 1 ½, but obviously the difference is not that big. I prefer thicker toppers, but that reflects on the price and if you can’t afford getting a thicker topper the 2in will be just fine. Now here is some information about this topper, before we continue:

Even though it looks like a nice offer I suggest you look for some other memory foam mattress topper. I’ll explain my opinion – the price for this product varies from $69.99 to $99.99 depending on the size ($69.99 for Twin size, $79.99 for Full size, $89.99 for Queen size and $99.99 for King size). Usually not a bad price, but if you look at the characteristics of the product you’ll notice it’s only 1 1/2in thick. 1 1/2in is just not worthy spending that money on, no matter the design. It just won’t be enough for you to feel the difference that thicker memory foam toppers provide. Not to mention that the density of the memory foam is not even given in the product information. It’s a good idea for the five zone design, but in my opinion it would work better if the memory foam was thicker. For the price mentioned above you can easily find toppers that are thicker and better even if their design doesn’t consist of five different zones. Anyway if you’re interested in this product here is some information about it. After all, the decision is all yours.

It’s another memory foam topper to consider getting. It looks like a 4in to me, but unfortunately this information or the one for the quality of the memory foam is not mentioned in the web site. And it should be mentioned, so before you make a purchase I suggest you request it. Other than that the characteristics of the topper look great – it’s hypoallergenic, it has open cell structure, which solves the heat gathering problem and it comes with a separate velour cover that you can take off and wash. It comes in variety of sizes, but again we suggest you get one size bigger than the size of your bed. Then once the topper returns to its original shape (sometimes this may take more than 2 days) just cut off the excess foam. Here are the features and some other information for it:

I’ve never been a big fan of QVC or the shopping channel, but sometimes they come up with some very interesting offers of somehow unknown brands offering relatively good quality at extremely low price. This time I stumbled upon one such item called the Bodipedic Visco Elastic Memory foam topper which seemed to be interesting enough for me to take a good look and see what it’s this all about.

Nowadays most memory foam mattress toppers are more or less made with the same technology and the main difference is in the memory foam density which directly results in their pricing (higher density higher price and vice-versa). This monotony in the mattress market helped some creative companies to outshine the competition by implementing some small but really interesting innovations. In this case we’ll cover one of the most useful innovations which actually won our “sleep innovation award for 2007″.

We’ve previously covered a lot of very nice considerably cheap memory foam mattress toppers, but today I’d like to share one that I clearly label my favorite topper. The Sensus memory foam topper most definitely deserves to be labeled premium memory foam topper with its extremely high quality, but not really cheap price.

The best thing about the Sensus memory foam topper is the high quality 5 LB almost pure Visco Elastic Memory Foam material. This is one of the few memory foam toppers and even memory foam mattresses on the market that is solely made only from Visco Elastic memory foam and is not mixed with any other ingredients that lower the quality. Actually this is the main reason why this topper is quite expensive compared to the market average, but its features are times better than all other memory foam combinations.

One of the most cost-effective memory foam toppers on the market is the isotonic memory foam mattress topper/pad. This memory foam topper provides extremely comfortable feel from its 2″ 4 lb visco elastic memory foam that can be easily found on the market around $120 for twin size and about $160 for queen size, but it has one downside. Even thou the feeling is great, the mattress pad has quite poor cover and it looks a bit odd with the standard cotton mattress cover that comes with it. The problem is that the topper is light red-brown or dark yellow (see the image above) and the cotton cover does not help it blend too much and your bed looks a bit yellowish. If you don’t care about the looks I’ll definitely confirm that this topper is on one of the cheapest prices I’ve ever seen on the market and it’s a great buy.

There are a lot of memory foam manufacturers and most of them use their own formula and therefore have specific feel on their mattresses/toppers, but today we are going to share with you one of the best memory foam topper manufacturers. Yes that’s Healthy Foundation.

The guys at Healthy Foundations are doing great job manufacturing some of the most cost-effective memory foam toppers on the market. Their toppers are priced around $160 for twin size 2” foam and $195 for the 3” foam (the thicker the better, because you get more of the more of the memory foam feeling). They also sell only the toppers without any covers at quite lower prices, but it’s not really recommended to buy without them, unless you already have a good washable cover.

I know I was supposed to list you the best memory foam toppers on the market, but this time I‘ll give you the worst one that I‘ve ever seen. Yes, we are talking about 2.5 inch Costco distributed Novaform Memory Foam Topper. Don‘t get me wrong, most of the Novaform Products are great and extremely high quality (I‘ll write later on in the mattress reviews for the Novaform Elite Memory Mattress which is one of the best I‘ve ever seen), but specifically for the 2.5 inch foam topper currently promoted by Costco is very very bad.
