It’s comfortable, it helps your sleep and somewhat relieves body pain, but you already know my opinion for 2in or less thick memory foam topper – they’re just not that good. What surprises me here is the price of the different topper sizes – they are extremely expensive and I see no reason for that. Here are the prices as given – Twin for $249.99, Full for $319.99, Queen for $319.99 and King for $399.99. Unless this is the first offer you see you’ll agree that the prices far surpass the ones of similar products. I can’t recommend this topper to anyone, not because it’s poorer quality than the others, but because of the price it comes at. For prices like that you can easily get a complete mattress, what’s left for a better topper. I’ll give you the characteristics just in case, but don’t waste your money on this product. Here they are:

If you insist on zoned mattress topper here’s what I consider a slightly better deal for you than the previous one mentioned. This is a 7-zone 2in thick mattress topper. Zoned mattress toppers are slightly better than the normal flat ones mainly because they don’t capture heat as much, but in the end it’s all about the thickness and the density of the memory foam. Sure 2in are better than 1 ½, but obviously the difference is not that big. I prefer thicker toppers, but that reflects on the price and if you can’t afford getting a thicker topper the 2in will be just fine. Now here is some information about this topper, before we continue:

The Beyond Perfect Seven-Zone mattress Topper is not for everyone, but it is for everyone who wants a better night’s sleep. You’ll sleep more comfortably on our new seven-zone memory foam mattress topper, because it's designed to give the most support where you need it most! Made of 2-inch thick, 100% visco-elastic memory foam, this all-new mattress topper goes beyond all of the ordinary flat foam toppers to give you a more perfect body support system and ultimate comfort. The topper comes complete with its own 300 thread count Egyptian cotton mattress pad that’s filled with antimicrobial Rely fibers. The stretch-to-fit skirt fits mattresses up to 21” in depth to give your bed a perfectly finished look. 5-Year Mfr. Warranty.

I’ll explain my opinion – the price for this product varies from $69.99 to $99.99 depending on the size ($69.99 for Twin size, $79.99 for Full size, $89.99 for Queen size and $99.99 for King size). Usually not a bad price, but if you look at the characteristics of the product you’ll notice it’s only 1 1/2in thick. 1 1/2in is just not worthy spending that money on, no matter the design. It just won’t be enough for you to feel the difference that thicker memory foam toppers provide. Not to mention that the density of the memory foam is not even given in the product information. It’s a good idea for the five zone design, but in my opinion it would work better if the memory foam was thicker. For the price mentioned above you can easily find toppers that are thicker and better even if their design doesn’t consist of five different zones. Anyway if you’re interested in this product here is some information about it. After all, the decision is all yours.

This one looks a lot like the previous mattress reviewed – 2 layers of total 8in thick mattress - 3in thick top layer and 5in thick base layer. And again just like with the previous one reviewed the density of the memory foam of any of the layers is not provided. And if in the previous review we assumed it was a high density, this time we’ll do the opposite. Before buying memory foam mattress it’s good to request the density of the memory foam as it is probably the most important thing you should know. The density of the memory foam shows not only the firmness of the mattress, but also it’s durability. The higher the density the more durable the mattress is. For both cases (this one and the previous mattress reviewed) I suggest you require the density from the manufacturer (or the web site that sells the product) and if they refuse to give you that information, just don’t get the product. What people say about this particular mattress is that it gets shaggy very fast (after only a month). This only indicates lower density memory foam (poor quality memory foam). Another thing people don’t like about it is that it gathers heat. This is true for almost every memory foam mattress out there except for those with improved air circulation (usually pricier), so if you think the heat will be a problem for you, you better look for vented memory foam mattress. Here are the specifications for this one:

It’s another 2 layer memory foam mattress on a reasonable price. Reading the information about it, it sounds pretty good one, too – 3in thick top layer and 5 in thick base layer. Not a bad combination. It would have been nice to know the density of at least the top layer of memory foam, but unfortunately it is not stated. I suggest you get that information before you buy the mattress (or any memory foam mattress of that matter). Anyway, if we assume it’s a higher quality of memory foam 3in are a pretty good thickness to make you sleep comfortable during the night. And 5in as a base is also not bad. And with it you get a washable zip cover, which is another plus since covers for such mattress size are kinda hard to find. So here are the given specifications:

It’s another 2 layered mattress, but if you ask me, without hesitation go for the previous one reviewed and skip this one. The prices of the two product are pretty much the same (this one’s even more expensive), but the specifications of the previous one are much better (in my personal opinion anyway). This one is 7in thick as the upper layer is 2in thick and the base layer is 5 in thick. You may think that an inch doesn’t make too much difference, but you’ll be surprised about the difference between 2in and 3in of memory foam. 2 in is not nearly enough to provide you with the comfort and relaxation that 3 or more inches of memory foam can provide. Besides the information about this mattress is not full again – the density of the memory foam of any of the layers is missing and I again I suggest you require it first and then decide if you’re gonna purchase the mattress or not. Here’s the provided information:

What we have here is a 3 layered 13in thick mattress. It’s a combination between memory foam and latex mattress and overall it looks pretty good. What you get is 6in thick memory foam base layer. The layer consists of 3 pieces as the center piece is of higher density and more supportive than the other two. On top of the base is 3in thick latex layer and on top of it is the top layer of 4in thick memory foam. Again you’ll have to separately request the density of the memory foam layers, but they seem pretty good to me (I haven’t heard any complains about the complete mattress). Besides the thickness of every layer also sound very nice. It’s a very comfortable mattress in my opinion and if you can afford it you should absolutely consider getting it.

The review of this mattress is more of a warning to stay away from it. The quality of the product is extremely low and the price you’re asked to pay for it is way more than it deserves. Starting with the fact, that the complete mattress is only 6in thick - it consists of 5in thick base and the miserable 1in memory foam top layer. Even if the 5in base provides enough suppers the 1in top layer is absolutely not enough to provide a good restful sleep. 1in of memory foam will soften the base the same as if you put two blankets on it. It’s not surprising that people who purchased it refer to it as “hard as a brick” – it really is. Anyway here is the complete information about it:

The TempSoma 12in mattress is well liked among buyers. Its specifications are pretty good and it comes at a very reasonable price. It’s a two layer mattress with 3in 4lbs memory foam for top layer and 9in high density memory foam for foundation. This is a good combination as the foundation is thick enough to provide good support and prevent misshaping and at the same time the top layer is thick enough and of good density to provide a restful night sleep. The mattress also comes with 10 year warranty, which is always a plus. Here are the specifications before we move on with the review:

It looks like a 4in to me, but unfortunately this information or the one for the quality of the memory foam is not mentioned in the web site. And it should be mentioned, so before you make a purchase I suggest you request it. Other than that the characteristics of the topper look great – it’s hypoallergenic, it has open cell structure, which solves the heat gathering problem and it comes with a separate velour cover that you can take off and wash. It comes in variety of sizes, but again we suggest you get one size bigger than the size of your bed. Then once the topper returns to its original shape (sometimes this may take more than 2 days) just cut off the excess foam. Here are the features and some other information for it:
